Two senior officials from PAKNIC (Pvt.) Limited Pakistan offices, Mr. Aqeel Ahmad (Director) and Syed Ahsan Fahmi (Senior Manager) represented PAKISTAN and PAKNIC in 31st ICANN Quarterly meeting at New Delhi, India.
A total of 720 participants from 76 countries, including 290 participants from the host country India, took part in the meeting, and helped ICANN move forward on a number of discussions. The New Delhi meeting is the first of the three public ICANN meetings in 2008. These meetings are crucial because ICANN's polices are created through a bottom-up, transparent process involving Internet Community.
"These meetings are vital to ICANN's model of bottom-up, consensus driven policy making in action," said Peter Dengate Thrush, ICANN's Board Chairman.
